Volunteer
The Peace Center is always seeking volunteers, service learning students, and interns. If you are interested, please call the Peace Center or email elea(at)wnypeace.org.
Current opportunities include:
- Non-partisan canvassing in New York’s 26th Congressional District: educating voters on where candidates stand on a variety of issues
- Planting and designing our Marcia Grimm Memorial Rain Garden, which we intend to make wildlife certified by the National Wildlife Federation
- Assisting with our Peaceful Conflict Resolution Program’s "Peace Jam," a program that connects local Buffalo Public Schools students with Nobel Peace Prize Winners
- Assistance in planning and organizing events including anti-war protests and film screenings
- General office management and secretarial work: an opportunity for gaining professional work experience & an understanding of nonprofit management
- Website design and other graphic designing including flyers and brochures
