Peace Jam Comes to Buffalo

The Peace Center’s Peaceful Conflict Resolution Program is proud to announce that we have received a grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo to bring Peace Jam to Buffalo!

This project is a collaboration of the Peace Center, The Stop The Violence Coalition, and Concerned Ecumenical Ministries. It is a year-long curriculum, written by Nobel Peace Prize Winners, to inspire and train youth in social justice and community change. The year will end with some students traveling to Massachusetts and spending two days with other youth around the country, and the Nobel Prize winner they've been studying.

Vicki Ross and Carlanda Wilson will soon attend national training on the curriculum. More details will follow.

We are seeking youth participants 14-17 years of age and adult volunteers.

To nominate a youth participant or to volunteer please email Elea Mihou at elea(at)wnypeace.org, or call 716-894-2013.
