*** Where Is Our Kids’ Money?! Citizen Action Rally for Funding from NYS ***
TEN YEARS PAST DUE
That’s how long it has been since our Buffalo Public Schools and school districts across New York State have been without the hundreds of millions of dollars owed to them by the state.
This is unacceptable and that’s why we’re complementing the AQE Walk from New York City to Albany with a bike ride from Buffalo to converge on Albany from both fronts demanding that this Foundation Aid be released.
It is our hope that you join us for our rally/press conference to send off our riders who are picking up past due invoices from school districts across the state to bring to the State Capitol on the 11th.

Repeal the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) – the flawed blank check that authorizes the president to wage war, anywhere at any time. It’s been fifteen years of endless war. Now is the time for the U.S. Congress to repeal the overly broad 2001 and 2002 AUMFs.
Click here to sign the petition that’s part of Rep. Barbara Lee’s campaign to tell Congress to stop the endless war, and repeal the 2001 and 2002 AUMFs!

TELL PRESIDENT OBAMA: We Support a U.S. No First-Use Policy on Nuclear Weapons.
A no first-use policy on nuclear weapons is essential to our long-term security and to nuclear abolition. Nuclear weapons are simply too dangerous to be used, and this policy would promote U.S. leadership in the cause of reducing nuclear stockpiles worldwide, and may set a new standard for other nuclear states. We must become a nuclear-free world; our security depends on it. Let President Obama know that you support a no first-use policy on nuclear weapons; that our U.S. foreign policy should promote peace, not militarism; and that U.S. foreign policy and security in this world requires strong leadership for nuclear abolition. Sign the petition!

Stand in Solidarity with Farm Workers: Boycott Wendy’s!
Farm workers are among the most abused and exploited workers in the United States. For 23 years the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), has marched, picketed, and fasted for justice for farm workers in Florida. Their efforts have convinced many corporations to join the Fair Food Program, a partnership that has eliminated modern-day slavery and sexual violence in the Florida tomato fields, improved farmworker wages for the first time in decades, and guaranteed basic protections for workers. Most of the major fast-food chains now participate in the FFP including McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, and Taco Bell. But Wendy’s refuses to join. In March, 2016, the CIW called a consumer boycott of Wendy’s until they join the FFP.
Sign the petition indicating your intention to boycott Wendy’s until the corporation joins the Fair Food Program. Sign the petition! http://p2a.co/x51Edkh

Tell Sec. Clinton, our senators, and congressional reps:  Publicly oppose a lame-duck vote on TPP! Negotiated for years behind closed-doors with the aid of hundreds of corporate advisors, while the public and press were shut out, the TPP would offshore good-paying U.S. jobs – and drive down wages in the jobs that are left – by pitting American workers against highly exploited workers making less than 65 cents an hour in Asian countries. The TPP would also raise medicine prices by giving big pharmaceutical companies new monopoly rights to keep lower-cost generic drugs off the market. If that weren’t enough, the TPP would also provide oil, gas and mining corporations new tools to challenge policies designed to tackle climate change, both at home and abroad.

Gro-operative: Worker Co-operative Vertical Farming Revolution! In 2013 we decided to start a farming revolution where urban centers can make the food for their citizens in an environmentally sustainable way within the city limits. Since then we have built out a 1,500 square foot space where we grow over 1,500 herbs and greens with plenty of fish too! Now we have much more demand for our products than we can supply and we need to increase capacity to keep Western New York happy.
