NOON at the Network of Religious Communities Building, 1272 Delaware Ave, Buffalo NY 14209 (entrance and parking around back).

Experience NO Dakota Access Pipeline Movement and the Creator’s Natural Laws; all after Army Corps of Engineers tells the Water Protectors’ Camps they will be shut down by Dec 5. Spiritual Leader Arvol Looking Horse is the 19th Generation Keeper of the White Buffalo Calf Woman Pipe, of the Oceti Sakowin Camp (Cannon Ball, North Dakota), where thousands of Water Protectors are gathered to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline. They are withstanding percussion grenades, water cannons, tear gas, rubber bullets, and the onslaughts of the militarized police and security forces.

The event is sponsored by Indigenous Women’s Initiatives, SUNY@B Native American Graduate Association, Stand with Standing Rock Support Group, Burning Books, Network of Religious Communities, Interfaith Peace Network, and the WNY Peace Center; to keep the peace and stop the police violence.

* Activist Luz Rivera Martinez speaks Mon 7pm on Resistance in Mexico; Popular Struggles Against Capitalism

Monday, Nov 28, 7-9pm; Canisius College Science Hall, cnr Main and Jefferson (convenient pkg in Main St lot near Delevan).

Luz Rivera Martinez is an organizer with Consejo Nacional Urbano y Campesino. She has 20 years of experience constructing autonomy, organizing outside of the electoral system, and resisting genetically modified corn while protecting millennia-old varieties.

At the Peace Coffee House Luz will talk, and have Q&A, on Resistance in Tlaxcala Mexico (one of Mexico’s smallest states); Popular Struggles Against neoliberal Capitalism. The session will include important lessons on human rights and the women’s, peasant, and labor movements. NAFTA, GMO corn, and land rights will also be important topics.
