Immigrants Solidarity March  – National Day of Action
Saturday, May 6, Rally, 1pm.
Gather at Massachusetts Ave Playground (by Winter St) and walk, with speakers, music (incl Ismail & Co), and inspiration! Rally at 1pm, with walk at 1:30 up Lawrence to Hampshire to Grant St – where we’ll stop at West Side Bazaar – on to Lafayette (with a brief talk at Lafayette High School), past Colonial Circle’s General Bidwell, down Richmond to finish at Pilgrim-St. Luke’s UCC, a declared sanctuary church. There’ll be a welcome at the church with tabling etc. as well. The #Buffalo25 will be representing. IF THERE’S BAD WEATHER, WE’LL HOLD THE ENTIRE EVENT AT PILGRIM-ST. LUKE’S UCC. Bienvenidos/Karibu/Bienvenu!

WNYPC ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Sat, May 20, 2-4:30pm. Meeting and potluck at WNYPC/NRC (1272 Delaware Ave, entrance & pkg round back). While we meet quarterly, the Annual Meeting is particularly significant, especially now in view of current events. Remember though, Crisis = Opportunity. Topics include taskforces, events, campaigns, finances, personnel (board, staff, interns), fundraising, membership, priorities, and more! All are welcome, though only members can vote. Come out for an update and planning for our organization and activism. Community-building, movement-building, and diversity are also on the agenda, as is inspiration! See you there.

Prison Taskforce Vigil
Wednesdays, 4-5pm. Vigil at Erie County Holding Center (Delaware & Church).. Prisoners’ Rights are Human Rights! The issues at the Holding Center and in our very Criminal “Justice” system need to be addressed. Bring signs and your determined spirit.

Interfaith Peace Network
1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, 8-9:30am, Network of Religious Communities Bldg, 1272 Delaware Ave. Discussion, sharing, and planning. Breakfast-luck.

Resist Militarism! Taskforce
2nd Thursday of month, 1-2:30pm, WNYPC, 1272 Delaware Ave (entrance & pkg round back), regular taskforce planning meeting re vigils, National Bird showing(s), Infringement events, etc.
2nd and 4th Thursdays of month, 3:30-4:30pm. Vigil at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, Lockport Road Entrance. Call Russell 716-570-5200 for carpooling.

Fridays 6pm: Stop The Violence Coalition, United Way Bldg, Delaware and Summer Sts.

Saturdays, Noon-1pm: Women In Black. Nonviolence vigil, Bidwell and Elmwood.
