On Jan. 24, President Trump signed executive orders advancing major oil pipeline projects (Dakota Access Pipeline, Keystone Pipeline). We oppose the construction of oil pipelines, which intrude on tribal lands, put all lands and waters at risk for serious contamination and pollution, and pose health and safety hazards for people living in the vicinity. We’ll walk to the Water, to Canalside on wonderful Lake Erie. Come build the one movement and stand up for our planet and all our relations!

We walk to raise WNY awareness of these pipeline projects and sent a statement to elected officials that opposition to these projects is strong. We stand in solidarity with indigenous peoples whose lands are targeted for pipeline construction and come together to support them and learn from them. This is a first step to further organization and mobilization against pipeline projects right here in WNY.
