“No Trump, No KKK, No Racist USA” March
January 20, 2017 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm EST
Come out to march, assemble, and organize for the redress of grievances. Vote suppression, missing votes, and foreign hacking and interference make this another stolen election (that makes three, at least). Moreover, standing for principle means standing against the lack of principle of Donald Trump. As organizer BARC puts it:
Join us as we stand against the Trump presidency!
We will march together in solidarity to let Trump and the rest of the country know that we do not accept an open white supremacist in the White House. We do not accept a man who brags about committing sexual assault. We do not accept a cabinet that is of oil and finance, for oil and finance, and by oil and finance. We will not sit back and pretend that everything is okay while the planet burns, while working and poor families struggle, and while thousands of people are murdered in the streets by police – more than half of them people of color. In 2017, we are drawing a line in the sand!
It is not enough, however, that we march. We also ask you to join us as we build the resistance in a People’s Assembly afterward. As many who are already oppressed in our community come under increasing assault in the next four years, we must begin to build the institutions and networks that will protect and sustain us all. If we say that we will not allow a Muslim registry, then we must be prepared to mean it. If we say that we will not allow our friends, comrades, and loved ones to be deported, then we must be prepared to mean it. If we say that another world is possible, we must be prepared to mean it. Rest assured that when the other side speaks, they mean it. Join us then as we develop community and strategy to fight back and win!
