On Monday morning, August 8th, the Venceremos Brigade will be returning from Cuba, crossing the Peace Bridge back into the U.S. There will be a rally on the U.S. side, to greet the Brigadistas, and a welcoming picnic at Prospect Park (corner of Columbus Parkway and Columbus Parkway West)—all starting early Monday. We hear that IFCO/pastors for peace is partnering with Venceremos Brigade for this year’s Peace Bridge crossing, with a large-ish group–made up of many former-year brigadistas and caravanistas, driving into Buffalo, to arrive around 10am.

Also, the Canada Cuba Friendship Association – Niagara will have a BBQ on Sunday, August 7th. They plan to also host an event on the Fort Erie side on the Monday morning.
