Weds, March 8, is International Women’s Day – “A Day Without Women” – a National Strike Day for Women. Come join us in that and at a brief gathering and press conference now at 4pm sharp on the steps of City Hall, then marching on to Elmwood and Tupper for Amplifying Women Power. See immediately below.
Come out in solidarity for our sisters and brothers. The rise in hate crimes is alarming, and if we do what we need to do, maybe we’ll come out with more of a culture of peace in the end.
On Sunday, March 5th at 2pm, Assemblyman Sean Ryan and the Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo will host “Hands Across The JCC”, a community event (from 2-3pm at the Jewish Community Center, Delaware and Summer Sts) to show solidarity with the Western New York Jewish community in the wake of recent anti-Semitic acts of hate directed at Jewish community centers and cemetaries across the country. The WNY Peace Center is grateful to be a cosponsor.
At Hands Across The JCC, the community will come together to lock arms and show the strength of Western New York’s Jewish community and demonstrate that people of all faiths remain united against acts of anti-Semitic hatred. When one is threatened, we all are threatened. We are one in the spirit. Come out to stand up for
