Building Bridges in Buffalo

Western New York Peace Center Executive Director Deidra EmEl said [grassroots organizations distributing food, assessing neighborhood needs] is a way to connect the many different communities east of Main Street as they continue to pick up the pieces from the shooting which left 10 people dead and three more wounded.

Women’s March Food Drive

The #WNYPC has decided to proceed with the #WomensMarch after today’s tragedy, as it is more important than ever to come together in solidarity and healing as a community.

We ask that you please consider bringing nonperishable food items to the Women’s March WNY at Broderick Park (post-marching portion) between 1 and 3 PM. These items will be provided to the members of our community who are not only personally affected by this great loss, but are also without a major grocery shopping option for an indeterminate amount of time.

We are also looking for volunteers to help lift and a truck to transport these goods.

Please contact (by phone or text):

We appreciate your support and consideration. With peace, solidarity, and love.
