Republicans in Congress are planning to vote as soon as this week on two bills that would make Americans even more vulnerable to gun violence:
- The SHARE Act (H.R. 3668), which would repeal restrictions on gun silencers and make it harder to detect the source of gunfire during mass shootings.
- The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (H.R. 38), which would undermine state efforts to protect residents from gun violence by forcing states to recognize concealed carry permits issued by any other state, no matter how lax the state’s permitting standards are.

- WHERE: CWA Local 1122, 3775 Genesee St, Buffalo, NY 14225

- Emergency Healthcare Rally! (tentative)
- WHAT: The goal is to stop this bill in the Senate, but should it pass the Senate it still needs to pass the House. Rep. Chris Collins voted “yes” on the American Health Care Act and would likely vote “yes” on this bill given the opportunity. This rally will be a chance for us pressure Rep. Collins to do the right thing and vote “no!”
- WHEN: 4:30pm the day after the vote passes the Senate (if it passes the Senate)
- WHERE: Lafayette Square, 415 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14203
