2017 BISSONETTE EVENT: CUBA – US: OPEN THE DOOR!
Wednesday April 19 @ WNY Peace Center / Network of Religious Communities Building, 1272 Delaware Ave, Buffalo (entrance and parking around back).
Fundraiser for Pastors for Peace ( ifconews.org). With a report on congressional action regarding USA-Cuba relations, by speakers from IFCO-Pastors for Peace.
Social and refreshments 6pm; talk 7pm. Tickets: $10 in advance; $12 at door; $5 student; $20 patron. Organized by the Latin American Solidarity Committee of the WNYPC (www.LASCwny.org).

The Buffalo March for Science
Saturday, April 22 @ 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Begins 1:00 pm at Soldier’s Circle, march up Lincoln Parkway, and end in a Rally and Science Festival in Delaware Park (area behind the Art Gallery and near Shakespeare in the Park).

Sat, April 15, 1-2:30pm, Tax March/Rally. Solidarity event for National day of action. Niagara Square Rally (1pm); then march to IRS, Federal Office Bldg., 130 South Elmwood Ave; around that block and back to Niagara Square. Speakers include Wayne Alt, WNYPC (lifelong activist!); Samantha Nephew, Citizen Action; and many more. See more below.

“On the Edge of Violence and Nonviolence: The Challenging Words of
Judaism, Christianity, and Islam”, presented by Dr. Chris Stanley,
Professor of Theology, St. Bonaventure University. Reception following.
$25 fundraiser for the Center. Columba-Brigid Church, 75 Hickory St,
Buffalo.

4-6pm. Riverside-Salem UCC/DC progressive program and potluck. This week
White Privilege exploration. 3449 West River Road, Grand Island.

7-9pm. Environmental Justice Taskforce: Transitioning NY State to 100%
Renewables by 2030. Special event with phenomenal guests!
Speakers: Mark Dunlea, Chair of the Green Education and Legal Fund (GELF)
will present update on state efforts around renewable energy.
Betta Broad, Outreach Director, New Yorkers for Clean Power will talk
about Electric Vehicles (EV) in New York State.
