This week, NY Renews and One NY Indivisible are organizing a non-stop week of action for the Climate and Community Investment Act (CCIA) and the THRIVE Agenda — fighting for climate, jobs, and justice at the state and federal level.

Congress is in recess, and the state legislature should pass a budget soon, so this is a perfect time to remind them who they work for and what we demand! When they return to session in mid-April, climate, jobs, and justice must be a priority!

The week of action will include town halls, socially-distanced rallies, virtual lobby visits, and social media actions — there’s something for everyone to participate and demand a climate justice recovery and an economy that works for all! You can see a full list of activities for the week here & below!

All Week: Virtual Lobby Visits for the CCIA! 

All week long, we’ll be virtually meeting with our state legislators and demanding they co-sponsor and champion the CCIA. Find a visit near you here!

Wednesday: Socially-distanced Local Rallies 

On Wednesday, we’ll hold small, socially-distanced rallies across the state in support of the CCIA and the THRIVE Agenda. Find a rally near you!

 

Friday: Town Hall with Senator Schumer

On Friday, we’ll hold a huge town hall with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and other leaders. Ask questions directly about the need for a climate, jobs, and justice recovery! RSVP here.

All Week: Social media actions & video rollout

We’ll also have a week of social media actions to make our work super-visible to our legislators and our communities, culminating in the rollout of a new video! Stay tuned for our social toolkit.
