Harriet Tubman Day Stand Tall Against the Wall Protest Rally
March 10, 2017 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm EST
In honor of Buffalo’s Harriet Tubman Day, March 10, 2017, the community will assemble at East Utica St and Main @ 4:30 P.M., to show solidarity for our fellow citizens and the immigrants who are seeking safe haven in this sanctuary that is known as the USA! (then walking to Merriweather Library) We are demonstrating to denounce the building of Walls that will divide us and the ‘Trumpian’ ideals that will hinder us as a nation and a unified people. There will be speakers, poetry, drumming and finally a 2nd Annual, Solidarity March from East Utica & Main street, down E. Ferry Street to the Library on Jefferson Ave. All groups are encouraged to bring banners, horns, drums and signs to send a message that Buffalo is one city, one people and one voice. In the event of inclement weather, program will be moved to the library@ 4:30 p.m..
Please call Esther @ (716) 894-0914 to RSVP or to get on the speaker or presenter’s list. Refreshment will be served @ 1327 Jefferson Ave ( across street from Library). Sponsored by We Are Women Warriors, Contract Compliance Review Committee and Erie County 2nd. District Legislator’s office.
