It’s been over a year that we last gathered at St. Joseph’s University Parish to chart our course as an interfaith group. We want to update everyone on our recent actions and activities. We want to use this gathering to hear your concerns and priorities as we map our way forward together.
We’re suggesting four questions to reflect on to encourage sharing of your ideas as we move forward.
1. What are your specific concerns re climate justice issues and how our Interfaith Climate Justice Community can most effectively respond?
2. Since climate change is already affecting our local areas, how can our faith communities help us become more climate resilient?
3.What are some effective ways in which ICJC can assist our houses of worship to become “Climate Justice Congregations?”
4.In past years we focused on four issues:
Greening our houses of worship
Earth Spirituality
Responsible investing/divesting
Legislative advocacy
Shall we continue with these issues, or are there others to focus on?
