Who:
The Ahmadi Family members assassinated via the US Reaper Drone’s Hellfire Missile included father Zemari, who worked for the California Based organization Nutrition and Education International since 2006, three toddlers, four children, and a teen, along with two (young) adults. See Attached for a table with pictures, approximate ages, and names (spelling varies).
The WNY Peace Center‘s Resist Militarism Taskforce is organizing the memorial, and working along with Interfaith Peace Network of WNY, Veterans For Peace #128, No Drones Niagara, and Upstate Drone Action on the Ban Killer Drones campaign.

Why:

The “Over The Horizon” “precision” drone program is criminal. The assassination of these toddlers and young children, along with father(s) and an older brother busy getting water for the families, one of the fathers on a (stalled-out) wait list for refuge in the US, is an example of how innocents are murdered through the program, the terrible nature of the program only exacerbated by the lies being told by the military to cover up the atrocity of the carnage. We grieve for the families torn apart by the killer drones, and work for an end to the Military Industrial Complex – the only beneficiaries of the current endless wars.
