Rev. Dr. King’s Riverside Speech

April 4, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

Come out for Rev Dr King’s momentous speech, a vital and needed reminder 50 years after he gave it. We can’t ignore the links between militarism, racism, and materialism – only at our peril. Remember too, “Silence is betrayal.” At St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral (Pearl & Church), 16 people will read excerpts, and we’ll get the inspiration we need to stop state-generated violence, and realize his dream: a world of nonviolence and love!! He was killed one year to the day after telling “the bombs [overseas] explode at home.” Honor and learn from this truth, as state-sponsored violence is increasing. Join with Buffalo Black Lives Matter Chapter, Veterans for Peace Ch #128, Citizen Action Of Western New York, WNY-FightFor15!, the WNY Peace Center, other groups and the community at large for an inspiring gathering. We shall overcome!!
