Souls to the Polls – Block Party plus
June 12, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT
At the Delavan-Grider Community Center, 877 E Delavan Ave, Buffalo, NY 14215. Kick-off for Early Voting, complete with food, music, and fun.
Souls to the Polls is a faith-based movement dedicated to uniting faith leaders and their congregations in order to strengthen the voting power of the community; notably black, minority, and marginalized groups. This movement challenges faith leaders to get 100% of all eligible congregation members to vote in the upcoming 2021 local elections and beyond! Voting gives us power to elect officials who will push for policy changes that will benefit our communities. Decisions about housing, education, job creation, environmental justice, public safety, policing, and more are determined by who shows up at the polls each year to vote!
This is the year of the activated vote! Join us as we kick off early voting with a block party at the on Saturday, June 12 starting at 11am. Come to cast your ballot for so many crucial local races: Mayor of Buffalo, Erie County Sheriff, Erie County Legislator and Buffalo City Court Judge. Stay for food, music and fun!
Press conference at 11:00 am
Polls are open from 12 – 6 pm for early voting!
Come to the block party between 12 – 5 pm
We need your voice and your vote to make a difference in our city and county this year!
