January 26, 2022 @ 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm EST

With Sophia, Holocaust survivor, lecturer, and “up-stander”/human rights activist; Drew Kahn, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor and Founding Director of Buffalo State’s AnneFrankProject.com;  Jess Kent, alumna of NewGround: a Muslim-Jewish Partnership for Change, and co-leader of Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom; and Vicki Ross, WNYPC Community Coordinator, and Consultant for the Interfaith Peace Network.

Discussion topics:

  • the history of the Holocaust and Sophia’s direct experience
  • affects of the Holocaust worldwide (physically, emotionally, politically, spiritually)
  • educational initiatives using Holocaust history for anti-bullying efforts, interfaith dialogue, conflict resolution
  • ways to help and get more involved

The show is taped for just under an hour by Think Twice Radio: Home of the Future (thanks to Richard Wicka, our wonderful producer). The Zoom recording, livestreamed on Facebook during the taping, will air on WBNY 91.3FM on the following Monday (1/31) at 1pm EST. After airing, you can also find the video archived on the WNY Peace Center YouTube channel.
