Talking Peace taping, hour 2: Holocaust Remembrance Day

With Sophia, Holocaust survivor, lecturer, and “up-stander”/human rights activist; Drew Kahn, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor and Founding Director of Buffalo State’s AnneFrankProject.com;  Jess Kent, alumna of NewGround: a Muslim-Jewish Partnership for Change, and co-leader of Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom; and Vicki Ross, WNYPC Community Coordinator, and Consultant for the Interfaith Peace Network.

 

Discussion topics:

  • the history of the Holocaust and Sophia’s direct experience
  • affects of the Holocaust worldwide (physically, emotionally, politically, spiritually)
  • educational initiatives using Holocaust history for anti-bullying efforts, interfaith dialogue, conflict resolution
  • ways to help and get more involved
