Beloved Brother, Dr. Cornel West, Zooming in to WNY tomorrow! Please join us!

November 8th, 2020

We are so excited that we’ll be spending the evening with beloved Brother, Dr. Cornel West, tomorrow, and hope very much you’ll be joining us in your own watch party! What an inspiring and vital time it will be!

His topic, “Where Do We Go From Here?” will help us face the Unarmed Truth; and find the courage and rock-solid determination, to do the work that stands before us. And his generosity of spirit will help us develop that Unconditional Love, the One Love, that is truly a Force More Powerful!

You can purchase a zoom ticket for this Virtual Gathering right here. (Middle of page, after video promo he did for the event.)

Also inspiring will be the Gnonyoh from Jill Clause, Tuskarora;  our wonderful awardees (Jalonda Hill, Jillian Hanesworth, Roger Cook, June Licence, and two surprise awardees); the student attendees; our own interns Just, Renee, and Yasmin; and our great Office Coordinator Deidra and Assistant Nicole, making it all happen!

And just wait till you hear Poet Jillian Hanesworth’s spoken word!

Don’t miss this special opportunity to build community, unite the struggles and the visions, and strengthen our resolve to #DefendtheSacred. We’ll unite – striving for Moral Integrity and Universal Solidarity – #PeopleAndThePlanet.

Thanks, too, for all your solidarity and support.

Si, se puede – We Shall Overcome – Harambe/Juntos/Together!

So “…Let us come together, let us fight together, let us speak the truth together, let us laugh together, and most important, let us bear witness together!” – Dr. Cornel West

See you there! Peace, Thanks, Solidarity and of course Love.

Friday, November 6th, 2020

We want to mention that we are still having some issues with our website, and have a wonderful team working to resolve this as soon as possible. We ask that you please note the upcoming event times listed below are correct, but are not currently accurate on our website calendar. If you have any questions about what you are seeing anywhere on our site, please reach out by emailing assistant@wnypeace.org.

Of course we’ll start by mentioning the election; while results are not yet finalized, we are glad to see the count continues moving along and that things are generally calm and peaceful. Please join us tomorrow for the Protect the Results Rally, 12-1:30pm at Niagara Square with masks and physical distancing. We have seen historic voter turnout, with millions of people voting by mail due to the pandemic. Every eligible vote counts!

If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, there is still time – visit bit.ly/wnypeace_cornelwest for all of the details!
